Manawanui

Built in May 2003 by Myklebust Verft (Norway) and originally known as the MV Edda Fonn.

It was used in the Norwegian oil and gas industry until 2018 when it was purchased for the Royal New Zealand Navy and commissioned on 7 June 2019.

Manawanui sank on 6 October 2024 after running aground while surveying a reef off the coast of Samoa. All 75 people on board Manawanui were rescued.
