The Rainmaker is an American legal drama television series based on John Grisham’s 1995 novel.

A young lawyer is fired from a white-collar firm and signs on with a small-time ambulance chaser who work out of a converted former restaurant. He soon finds himself facing off against his former employer in court when he takes on a wrongful death suit involving a man who died while undergoing hospital care.

John M. Slattery Jr. plays the big bad lawyer boss with some style. Madison Iseman is the legally blonde fresh young lawyer. Milo Callaghan is the all American buff lad ready to take on the system.

But the stars of the show are Lana Parrilla, who I had seen before. Turns out she was in ‘Once Upon a Time’ (2011-2018).

But having the most fun is PJ Bryne as the paralegal.

There is a completely unnecessary sub-plot involving a woman and her abusive husband.

But most if it is a decent legal drama/thriller with the usual satisfying ending.
