Krita is a professional FREE and open source painting program.

The focus for this program is painting. There are plenty of painting tools, lots of brush styles. Plus shapes you can use. It has levels and filters. All you could want.

It will also use the G’MIC filters, something I have used in GIMP.

What it doesn’t do is colour adjustments.

But is is easy to use and works well with the pen tablet.
