The Dropout is an eight part dramatized documentary about Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfried) and Theranos ,

Seyfried I didn’t recognize at it was over ten years ago I saw her in Big Love.

Unfortunately the story starts with her interrogation, immediately labeling her as the villain. However from that I had known about her and the company, it wasn’t to happen in a simple way.

The story is about an ambitious woman who used all the tactics and methods of her male counterparts to establish her company.

Where she is different is that she did not have the technical expertise to know what was possible. Jobs had Wozniak, Gates could code and Elon Musk is clearly a skilled engineer.

What she did have was good looks and an abundance of  money grabbing venture capitalists ready for an easy buck. Her main tallent seems to have been persuasion. But in the end that didn’t help with the 11 years she is now serving in jail.
