Carlos Ghosn (born 9 March 1954) was the CEO of Michelin North America, chairman and CEO of Renault, chairman of AvtoVAZ, chairman and CEO of Nissan, and chairman of Mitsubishi Motors.

The Netflix documentary “The Curious Case of Carlos Ghosn” spans his leadership of Renault and Nissin until he escaped Japan.

Done without his input, this chronicles his life and work with interviews from ex employees. No doubt he was  an effective leader, rescuing Renault and Nissan from bankruptcy. But it was his decision to remain CEO of Renault and Nissan that lead to his downfall. Also contributing was a tide against him in Japan. If this was a conspiracy we will never know.

But it does make a fascinating documentary.
